FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - Artisanal Sourdough Bakery

1.     What makes sourdough bread different from regular bread? Sourdough bread is leavened using a natural fermentation process that involves wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria. This imparts a unique flavor and texture to the bread, setting it apart from commercially yeasted bread.

2.     Are your sourdough breads gluten-free? No, our sourdough breads contain gluten. However, some customers with gluten sensitivity find that they can tolerate sourdough better than other types of bread. It's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional if you have specific dietary concerns.

3.     Do you use any artificial additives or preservatives in your sourdough bread? No, we believe in using only natural ingredients. Our sourdough bread is free from artificial additives, preservatives, and other synthetic substances. We prioritize quality and authenticity in our baking process.

4.     How do you maintain the authenticity of your sourdough starter? Our sourdough starter is a living culture that we've nurtured for years. We feed it regularly with a combination of flour and water, ensuring a healthy and robust microbial community. This dedication to our starter contributes to the unique flavor and characteristics of our sourdough bread.

5.     Is your flour organic? We source high-quality, organic flours whenever possible. Our commitment to using premium ingredients extends to the flour we use in our sourdough breads.
